Duct design compromises of 3 important elements- Heat Load Calculations, HVAC Equipment and Ductwork Design. Accurately planned ducted air conditioning can heat and cool areas for the life of the property with proper care and maintenance.
Heat Load Calculations
The air conditioning load provides the basis for selecting the right HVAC equipment. It takes into account the heat coming into the area from outdoors, like sun rays entering a window or wind blowing against the side of the building, as well as the heat being generated from inside the area from people, appliances and lights.
HVAC Equipment
Once the heat load calculations are completed and using the calculation, the optimal equipment to meet the system requirements including the specific sizing of the air conditioning unit and the size of the ductwork components are determined.
